Oceanic Guardians
Who owns 50% of the world’s tuna? The Pacific Islands.
The region has the last remaining healthy tuna stocks in the world, the largest international area of high seas closed to fishing, and a range of other conservation and management measures to create sustainable management of our tuna.
Watch the film Oceanic Guardians to find out how 14 small island developing states negotiated with the global fishing industry to set the rules for fishing and enforce them. http://www.youtube.com/pacificislandfish
